@SPAGHETTIMONSTER1 yup. I have heard that there are what they call asphalt volcanoes in that area, but have no actual data or information to share. I for sure know that Mancudo deposit has been known about for a LONG time but no one would touch it because of the danger the massive methane pocket on top of it would pose. I also know they had ONE SECOND of alarm before it blew up – meaning obviously the WATER was on fire below the rig.

Everyone becareful the toxic chemicals rise to the surface of the water in the gulf evaporate into the air and carried with wind rain and dumped on land. Becareful about eating your fruits and veggies cuz DOLE cuts OFF the celery leaves on the stalks that are burnt! I live in IL and my plants, trees, flowers have burnt black leaves, black burnt holes, white corrosion some leaves on the trees have fallen off already it looks like fall here

@bluewart12 What fish? There’s hundered of square miles in the Gul every year that are declared a dead zone.Very little can live there. Blame goes to farm run off into the Mississipi out to the Gulf. That should be just as much an outrage as this oil spill. They stopped the oil spill now. Little of anything has been done about farm run off. it;’s still happening this very moment.

@TheCombineify Yes, we do have to have gasoline… for several more years to come.

World-wide turn over to new energy is going to take a while. The United States alone will take several years to completely change, making gasoline/oil useless.

However, to change the entire world… that could very well take over a decade, possibly, (but I hope not) maybe more.

To abandon all need of oil and gas right now WOULD be nice, but, sorry to say, it’s not realistic at this time.

it was most likely a gearbox plug you pulled first. these cars have yellow fluid in them. you didnt ruin your engine from too much oil unless it lost oil pressure due to aeration.you would have known via either gage or warning light.

Walk, or take the bus to the library and look in Chilton’s Auto Repair manual. You may have drained the differential or gearbox. The engine oil drain plug will be at the bottom of the engine oil pan. I know you can find rthe engine. Look under just that thing and there will be a pan with a drain plug on it. It will let out about 4 quarts of black oil. Get some oil to replace whatever you let out. You may need a pump or siphon to do that. The parts store folks will show you what you need.

Some Americans are bankrupt because they are sheep, they got manipulated into buying homes they couldn’t afford, like you with oil, they were told that homes and land were scarce and everybody had to buy one. Now homes are everywhere, like oil its gone now but the minute we have alternative fuel, oil will be everywhere. So put a cork in it already, I don’t believe oil peak.

They are going down. The few super-giants left are still going up… for a bit.

They do this thing called MATHS and work out how long till GLOBAL peak.

We’ve drilled all the most productive, potentially viable sites on the planet for free-flowing cheap oil. Discovery of this GOOD oil peaked 40 years ago.

So converting it back to the cupboard analogy, we’ve still got a pretty full larder, but the local supermarket’s are gone. Soon the rationing begins.

1. The world is probably at peak oil now, but the terminal decline has not set in yet.
2. The GFC reduced demand for oil from $130 a barrel down to $80
3. If you’re so confident oil is so abundant, your real problem is why is oil stuck at $80 not $20?
4. But none of this *autistic* focus on PRICE ALONE really matters, because it ignores the GEOLOGY. If you’re too stupid to bother looking into peak oil, then you only have yourself to blame when you can’t fill your hummer.

@EclipseNowBlog, you’re suffering from Alzheimer. I told you a million times that oil could not be $20 that would make it cheaper than dirty, even at 80 it is still cheaper than shit. It is down right stupid to keep saying we’re running of oil when it is cheaper than water. Price is the best indicator of supply, I’m gonna repeat again, if the supply is scarce the price will soar, if the supply is in high demand, therefore the god damn price the god damn indicator.

@EclipseNowBlog You need to get this through tiny little head, price and price alone is the indicator of oil supply. This video was posted in 2006 to manipulate people like you into investing in oil and to inflate its price to almost 200 per barrel and to artificially inflate gas price to almost $5/gallon. Now that they made their and oil price dropped to nothing, we don’t see oil videos anymore. I hate to insult people but you know less than nothing.
