An offshore oil rig has exploded in the Gulf of Mexico, west of the site of the April blast at the BP rig that caused an environmental disaster. It happened around 130 kilometres south of the US mainland. Initial reports say that all 13 crew members are in the water, with just one of them injured. Emergency services have been sent to help.
